1986: On to a different job for a
quarter century!
| Monty retired from day-to-day work with Derwent, retaining an ambassadorial role. He still gave presentations, collected industry awards, and so on. |
No more jetting about brokering international publishing agreements
-- back to commuting on the London underground, proof-reading on the way.
Rather than pack it all in, he fancied returning to his roots, editing, abstracting and indexing.
His part-time job as Managing Editor of Index to Theses turned out to last for 25 years!
